Working under stringent state and federal cost controls, including the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), PayneCrest provided 13,800 volts to power five buildings and installed fire alarm, voice data, rescue assistance, access control, paging, lightning protection, a 1500KW emergency generator, and photovoltaic systems for the LEED-certified Gold facility hosting 55 laboratories supported by 164 offices and 120 work stations. PayneCrest efficiently installed 162,000 feet of conduit, 625,000 feet of wire, 5,000 feet of cable tray, 1,500 feet of bus duct with 151 bus plug disconnects, 350,000 feet of phone/data cable and 2,350 light fixtures. Advanced renewable energy installations included solar lighting using computer operated, sun-tracking, Fresnel lens mirrors to direct sunlight through fiber optic cabling to illuminate interior lights. PayneCrest also installed technology for state-of-the-art daylight and occupancy sensors for cost efficient lighting, electric car charging stations, and a 25 kilowatt solar array.
