ABENCS Ethanol

The ABENCS Ethanol plant, now the Green Plains ethanol refinery, produces more than 90 million gallons of ethanol, providing another market for grain farmers throughout the Midwest. About 32 million bushels of grain are processed annually at the plant that is powered by electrical systems that PayneCrest helped design and install.

Project Highlights

  • Design assist and installation to provide power, control, lighting and instrumentation for complex ethanol refining process.
  • Deployed 3D modeling to coordinate raceway routes with mechanical piping and equipment, preventing expensive tear-down and re-work, saving time and money.
  • Electrical installations powered wet grain storage, decanters, product dryers, product clarifier and finished product storage and load-out.
