Meet Orlando! Orlando joined the PayneCrest team back in July 2020, after previously working for Westin Hotels downtown. During Covid Orlando was put in a position to seek new employment & decided to make a career change. His goal was to get into the IBEW’s Pre-Apprentice program. PayneCrest jumped at the opportunity to hire Orlando and help him join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) as a warehouse material handler while he went through the application process. Being a material handler gave him a chance to learn the tools, get out to job-sites when delivering materials, & get to know more about what being an electrician is all about. Orlando has officially been accepted into the program and his first assignment as a Pre-Apprentice will be working in our prefabrication shop. We are excited to watch his Journey!
